Orthanc
Album: Taur e-Ndaedelos (Demo/EP, 2007)
Label: Self-Released
Genre: Pagan Black Metal
Country: New Zealand, Poland and Singapore
Pagan Black Metal from three countries : "D.S. Velkin" (Guitars & Bass) from New Zealand, "Naitsyrk" (Guitars & Keyboards) from Poland and "Penetrathor" (Vocals & Drums) from Singapore. The three pagans based in Singapore.
Orthanc was formed in late 2006. They created the musick by the evil brains full of Norse, Germanic, Viking or something like the way of Pagans do.
Definitely, Hymn of Orthanc is Black Metal. More evil atmospheric was added to keyboards and acoustic guitars. You guys can notice from the Intro and
Outro. That's a tragic melodiousness. The other two tracks were fast, raw and harsh vocal in vein of Black Metal style. They got the influences from early Burzum,
Bathory, Emperor, Mayhem and tons of Norwegian Black Metal bands.
I think the demo of Orthanc will impress the fans of Pagan Black Metal who like
potent atmospheric and old-school Black Metal. This is new and so
interesting for Black Metal worshipers. If you are interested in Orthanc, you
guys can listen to their songs at Myspace.com/orthancblackmetal or send an e-mail to Penetrathor at nur@tomegatherion.com
