Crusade
Album: Resilience (CD, 2007)
Label: Innovation
Genre: Death Metal / Hardcore (Death Angertainment)
Country: Austria
This is the second full-album of Crusade. After the release of debut
album 'Further Down' in 1998 and mini CD 'Loathed Resistance' in 2004,
now they are back with the new album called 'Resilience'.
The music in Resilience is still death metal with furious riff guitar,
deep death metal vokill, hardcore rhythm in vein of dying fetus, hate breed
and absolutely Fear Factory. I heard that Crusade had been the
local support act for Fear Factory. That's the great experience for them to learn something from FF.
Actually in this album, I really like the rhythm
section, the bass, the guitar and drum, and I think if Martin try to lower his pitch of voice, it will be more fierce, wild and brutal. I recommend the tracks called 'Cauterized', 'Places of Worship' and
'Walls of Liberty'. That's killer!
If Crusade want to be the band in major label, I think they can be for sure
because their style is still up-to-date. But let me guess,
I think this style will be out-of-date in the next 2-3 years.
Therefore, if Crusade still want to be alive and well-known for metalheads around the world,
they should find their own style. They have power, skill and creativity.
I hope their next album will be truly Crusade's style.
O.K. guys, if you want more information about this band, you can go to myspace.com/crusade666 or www.crusade.at
And if you want to buy Resilience, you can write an e-mail to Martin at crusade@crusade.at
to ask about the price and the postage. He's the vokill of this band.
For fans of Death Metal / Hardcore, and for those who want to know what the hell
'Death Angertainment' is. Try it.
