"God is Dead, Satan Lives!" The words that are expressed the ideology of Teratism, the American black/death metal. Let's get to know this band by the founder "Lord Ornias", who bring the disaster to us!

Let's begin, what's the name of new album?
Lord Ornias | Teratism: it is called "The Blessing of Death".

What 'bout your lyrics of this new album?
Lord Ornias | Teratism: Death, Satanic, Misanthropic black death satan kill hell! haha.

How many are tracks of this album?
Lord Ornias | Teratism: 9 + tormentor bonus track. its about 55 mn. And the vinyl will have 9+ outbreak of evil bonus track.

This album u releases with ROAE [Root of all evil records]?
Lord Ornias | Teratism: The cd is through roae, and vinyl is through deathgasm.

Deathgasm? USA? From the owner Synvorlath of Demoncy?
Lord Ornias | Teratism: Yes, it is from geaorgia usa. It is co- run by synvorlath of Demoncy.

About your members, change or same with the lastest album?
Lord Ornias | Teratims: There are only 3 original members now. 2 new guys from the last album.

Can you give me the name and the position?
Lord Ornias | Teratism: Scorn plays bass. Torment plays lead guitar. They have been in the band since early 2003.

How about your artwork of this album? The cover, artwork.
Lord Ornias says: A rotting goat skull. I took the picture myself.

In this album, the lyrics just like the concept album or something?
Lord Ornias says: No, not really. It's just us expressing our hatred towards humanity.

What's your plan in the future? Tour? Release date of this new album?
Lord Ornias | Teratism: The album is violent and aggressive. The next album "Pure Unadulterated Hate" is more grim and obscure. "The Blessing of Death" was an outlet for our angst. And no official release date, but it will be available early June. Then we play the Northern Lights Festival in Toronto Canada at the end of that month. After that.... who knows what we will do.

Well, you mean - you've already prepared the stuffs for the next album? The next album that you told me, you mean "The Blessing of Death"?
Lord Ornias | Teratism: Yeah, "Pure Unadulterated Hate" should be recorded before August 04. We recorded "The blessing of Death" last July 03. It just hasn't been released yet. Not until June 04.

LP album,that's right?
Lord Ornias | Teratism: Yeah, it will be available on CD and LP.

And Date of release of Pure Unadulterated Hate?
Lord Ornias | Teratism: Maybe fall 04.

Why the time that you release that so close between The Blessing ..and Pure...?
Lord Ornias | Teratism: Well, ROAE had some financial issues. It was meant to be released last summer.

Pure,.album release with ROAE?
Lord Ornias | Teratism: No. We are looking for a label to release it on CD. It will be released on vinyl through Deathgasm rec. though.

That show you have to prepare the stuffs for two albums now, right?
Lord Ornias | Teratism: We will probably play material from all our albums. There is still time to think about it. I suppose we will play whatever we feel like playing at that time.

Just like improvisation in the rehearsal room, something like that?
Lord Ornias | Teratism: Well, maybe not Improvised. I doubt we will do any extensive rehearsing before the show though. If we are pissed off, we will play our most brutal and aggressive songs. If we are not happy, we will play all of our cold and grim songs. It depends on our moods. Who knows, maybe we will do some Bathory covers also.

I saw your picture that you sent me, you are not under the corpse paint anymore, why's that? And what do you think about black metal the corpse paint?
Lord Ornias | Teratism: Well, we didn't do it for "The blessing of Death" because we wanted that album to be stripped of all imagery and aesthetics. We wanted it to be a violent and raw album that would speak for itself.

Just for the music that show your image, right? Not use the image show your music...
Lord Ornias | Teratism: Exactly. We will do corpse paint again, when the time is right.

About your songs, Do you used synth or keyboard in this album? What do u think about the black metal bands who love to use the keyboard in the song?
Lord Ornias | Teratism: We don't use keyboards. We just don't think about bands like Dimmu and COF. Were interested in creating our interpertation of "Black Metal", so what other bands are doing doesn't concern us. I understand what you saying, but we just really don't give a shit about them. you know?? We are interested in making evil and dark music.

Please definite of the name of your band
Lord Ornias | Teratism: It means monstrosity. Something twisted and ugly.... a monster.
