Hi Luiz Carlos and the band! Introduce yourself to Metalthai's readers, please.
LUIZ CARLOS - Hello, Sorn! Great to expose Predatory to Metalthai!!! Well, I'm the drummer since 2004 but Predatory was put on the road in 1999! We recorded 2 cds: Walking to the Trap (2000) and Visions World Apart (2005) and we have some tracks in a couple of compilations here in Brazil! Our new line-up is: Thiago Pacheco (g), Marcos Politi (v), Luiz Carlos (d), Ricardo Lima (g) and Anderson Casarini (b). We play Thrash Metal with Death and Heavy influences.

Tell me about your Demo in 2005 "Vision World Apart" and the process of your new album.
LUIZ CARLOS - When I start to play with Predatory 3 years ago, all the new songs were done, but I can put my own ideas to those stuff. When we recorded "Visions..." we did a new version of a song that originally was recorded in our 1st cd, just to show how the band changes with the new line-up in that time. In this month we found a new bass player, 'cause Miguel Santos (ex-bassist) have to move to another Estate, so Anderson Casarini (ex-Last Sign) start to rehearsals. We have some new songs and until the end of this year we'll record another demo and maybe in 2008 we start to record our debut-cd.

What do you think that I wrote in the review just like you guys bring some hardcore/death metal part plus with thrash metal sound? You intended to do that or not?
LUIZ CARLOS - Of course! Besides Predatory, I'm the vocalist of Hierarchical Punishment, a Death/Grind band that exists since 1994! And I play drums in Hardcore bands since '88! So Hardcore and Death metal is in my veins! Hehehehehehe!!! The guys from Predatory likes Hc and Death Metal bands, for sure!!!!!! But basically we are a Thrash Metal band, the other influences came to refresh this style!

What's the sound of your new album look like?
LUIZ CARLOS - We have about 4 or 5 new songs, some fast and furious and always with mid-tempo passages. Extreme vocals and brutal drums parts, together the cool riffs. Just wait to hear it!

I knew you guys boring with this question but I wanna know your opinion about the old king of thrash metal like Sepultura(old), that now they change everything to full format of commercial, what do you think about this?
LUIZ CARLOS - Man, I knew Sepultura in ..86 I guess in a radio show; after this I get their debut mini-LP and the classic "Morbid Visions" LP. In that time they were the kings of Death Metal here. From Schizophrenia to Arise, they changed their style to Thrash but still strong. When Chaos AD was released I was involved with extreme bands, so... But Sepultura was the bigger band to put brazilian scene around the world and the still great here!

We all knew many Metal bands around the world born and die everyday. How you guys think, you can stand and stable on the metal world Warfield?
LUIZ CARLOS - We do what we like to do, so I don't care what future brings to us. Just work hard to do the best. If someone likes our stuff, great! But I want to do extreme music until I die! Hehehehehehe!!!

What's your plan in the future with Predatory, Bro', ..have some stuffs to sell to who interesting on your stuff?
LUIZ CARLOS - As I told you, we'll record a new demo this year, just to show the new line-up and we hope to record our debut-cd (full-lenght) next year. "The torture never stops!" as Blackie Lawless scream more than 20 years ago! Hahahahahahahahaha!!!!!!!!
